Sleepless in Hong Kong and now in Jakarta

Hey-

Wow! It’s officially been forever since I’ve written. It’s crazy out here on the road! I swear I try to do it all, but man! It’s HARD!! ;-) I hope you’ve at least been enjoying my shout-outs and check-ins from the road.

Its been insane out here! Felt like I flew through the arena tour in Europe, then jetted through the one in the US. Both were incredible experiences and really taught me about myself and new enviroments on the stage and how its possible to still be intimate even in front of 10,000 people. Wow! I just felt so blessed to be able to share, in that capacity, the love we all have for the inspiration of music.

I also discovered how to keep my voice strong and that has been a true learning process. I’m learning and studying so much every day!

Now, I’m out here doing all these festivals and shows in Asia. I flew to Hong Kong yesterday and landed about 1:20pm. The crazy part about Hong Kong is it’s 12 hours ahead of NY! 15 hours ahead of LA! SICK right??!!
;-) So, I get there and go directly to the venue (so I didn’t have to spend hours traveling), set up my music to vibe to, got ready, did some interviews, did the show (which was INSANE! Mad love to HK) then had a couple of quick meetings and headed back to the hotel with all intentions to relax! Got a massage with some good lavender and ylang ylang oil. Finished at about 3am and COULD NOT sleep!

Being in a different time zone had me so crazy! Finally at 8am I decided to go to the gym to at least wear myself out and then try to get some rest. Got back from the gym and STILL couldn’t sleep so I ate some breakfast. By the time I came back to my room at 11am I was FINALLY tired! Wooow! Slept till 1:30pm and then left to get on the plane to head to Jakarta, Indonesia. 4 hours and 45mins later, passport clearances, bags and drives to the hotel I finally arrived soooo tired I couldn’t WAIT to get in the bed! LOL! So here I am now, writing you from my favorite place under the covers ready to get some REAL sleep.

You know, sometimes I think we really underestimate the value of a good rest. It makes you so much more functional and pleasant and happy ;-) Another one of God’s simple but AMAZING gifts!

But I DID wanna say “hey”…..and tell you what a pleasure its been to meet you in different places on the road. I love it! And MUST give mad props and love for our connection! It’s never ending and always expanding!
